Vintage folding Goddards dog beds.

Tough canvas & painted steel.

A great find, three Goddards folding dog beds, perfect for giving your pooch that vintage/industrial aesthetic at home or away!

These were made by the firm of Goddards ltd, of Borough High Street, who specialised in folding beds, garden furniture and hammocks. They supplied dog beds to the Royal Vetinary College hospital and claimed that the raised bed promoted good air circulation and didn't harbour dust, dirt and vermin!.

We had a matching pair, plus a single smaller bed (pictures 3 & 4) with simpler straight legs. They are in tip top condition (judging by the cleanliness of the canvas they have had very little use). They are constructed from rugged canvas, with brass eyelets stretched taut from a conker coloured steel frame. The riveted frame is strong yet relatively lightweight and is hinged to fold flat for transport.

The bed has a degree of spring which dogs seem to enjoy, and can be made even more luxurious with the addition of a cushion. Best suited to the smaller/medium sized dog.
