Survyors measuring staffs, HOLBRO TELEFORM circa 1950's made in three sprung sections in hardwood Mahogany casings with black and red painted calibration marks and brass fittings. The graduated sections fit neatly inside each other held in place with sprung brass clips. We have a pair, both HOLBRO one with an additional ivorine plaque which reads COOKE, TROUGHTON & SIMMS LTD a scientific instrument makers founded in York in 1922 (later incorporated into the parent company Vickers Instruments in 1963). These make interesting graphic items, extending well over 3m ideal display if you have a high ceiling.
