SIMPLEX FLP INSPECTION LAMPS

POLISHED CAST ALLOY BODY, GUARDED GLASS

We have a matching pair of these monumental British made SIMPLEX inspection lamps dating from the 1960's. Originally painted battleship grey the paint was tired so they have now been dismantled and carefully stripped and lightly polished to reveal their rugged casting details.

Designed for use in heavy industry, FLP fittings are flameproof (often described as explosion proof). The porcelain bulb holder (standard bayonet) is held within a thick well glass further protected by a galvanised wire cage. The bulb chamber is accessed by removing two hex headed screws and sliding the lamp apart in the centre.

The lamps can be hand held , hung from the cage hook or simply stood on a level surface. Re-wired with 2 metres of the flex colour of your choice and PAT tested prior to dispatch.
