Wall Mounted Dugdills Machine Lamps, Polished Finish.
Two arm sections on a switched junction box.
This Circa 1930/40's British made Dugdills (shades differ slightly in shape). Different from the other Dugdills lamps we have sold previously, as their slim cylindrical arms rotate on a rotating joint at the switched junction box.
It was removed from an ex-army Bedford communications truck by the previous owner in the 1960's but would have been manufactured several decades earlier. Formerly painted a (shabby) military grey they have now been stripped and sympathetically burnished, highlighting the beautifully brazed joints and characterful wingnuts.
*This fitting will require re-wiring by a qualified electrician for mains usage, however if you wish to use it conjunction with a plug we can provide this re-wiring service with a PAT test certificate (£25 surcharge)
