Antique Bamfords Agricultural Chaff Cutter.

Hefty cast iron display piece.

We have sold a number of these agricultural implement stands in the past few years, cut down and transformed into rugged industrial style tables, however we like the patina of this one so much we thought we would offer it first as a display piece.

It has stood outside for a number of years and gained a wonderful coating of lichen over the black painted surface . Featuring various sized cogs and gears which would have been driven by a stationary engine. Wheat was fed through a wooden hopper at the top before being sliced by the rotating blades on the fly wheel.

Cast with the makers name Bamfords Uttoxeter, Staffs this handsome machine is hugely heavy, if interested consider access as it will require at least 3-4 people to lift!
