1950's ROZALEX 'REX' DISPENSER CHROMIUM PLATED BRASS DISPENSER FOR THE FACTORY OR WORKSHOP. |
||||
An amazingly clean survivor from the factory or workshop floor, this Rozalex 'REX' dispenser is a slightly later model to the one in the 1937 advert pictured. It was designed to hold Rozalex's own brand barrier cream, which, with a single pull of the knob would be dispensed 'easily & economically' through the central hole into the hand. The knob pulls out smoothly, we have tested this with washing up liquid which is thinner than the intended cream and the valve dispenser is in working order. There appears to be an aggitating knob missing from the top (a radiator key will fit) which connects to the central spiggot which in turn ends in a metal plate which exerts a downward pressure on the contents probably intended to force out the last of the cream. Rozalex Ltd was founded in 1929, the brand is still going strong today, so the 'REX' can be filled with one of the barrier creams it was made to dispense (alternatively fill with your favourite hand cream).
