PICQUOT WARE K3 KETTLE CAST MAGNAILIUM WITH SYCAMORE HANDLES |
||||
Designed in 1938, and manufatured by Burrage & Boyd the K3 kettle was initially produced under the 'Newmaid' name, then re-branded as 'Picquot ware ' post war as production was stepped up and the range increased to include full tea sets. The sculptural shape is cast in one piece from mirror polished "Magnallium", a specially developed alloy of aluminium & magnesium. Scycamore handles add to the distinctive appearance, advertised as scorch proof however care should be taken when using on gas . Chemical de-scalers should not be used on these kettles as they can react with the alloy pitting the inside surface (we recommend white vinegar used regularly to prevent limescale build up). Condtion is very good, re-polished exterior & handles, very clean interior with no pitting or limescale. Can be used on solid fuel, gas, & ceramic hobs but not suitable for induction hobs.
