These rugged heavy duty military clips are U.S Air Force surplus. Stamps on the packaging indicate they were packed in 1944 and sat in unopened in their original boxes of 100 waiting for use...

Originally intended to clip cluster bombs on to the release mechanism of bomber air craft, we presume they became redundant once WW2 ended. We are very glad to find an alternative use for them..

Made from robust stainless steel corded wire with a copper crimp and galvanised steel sprung hook we use them for all manner of things around our home and workshop.

They make ideal industrial style curtain hooks used in conjuntion with a length of steel tube. We have fixed these in place all over our open plan living space to form room dividers fixed in place with plumbers brass munsen clips. We use army surplus blankets in winter and linen sheets in the summer, all with punched eyelet headings.

We also use them to hang pots and pans from a similar pole in the kitchen, and as seriously heavy duty key rings .
