MID CENTURY MEMLITE DESK LAMPS

POLISHED OR PAINTED STEEL WITH A CAST IRON BASE

Memlite desk lamps, commonly used in laboratories, factories and educational establishments from the 1940's onwards. We have a selection in stock, some which had been overpainted a number of times have been fully polished, whilst the remainder have been left in their original attractive blue grey paint.

The fully polished lamps have a degree of wear to the burnished steel and iron surfaces, whilst the interior of the shades retain their original cream paint. The lamps in the original grey finish have been cleaned, their paintwork simply revived and preserved.

The lamp articulates at the neck, elbow and base. Each joint is held together with the original nuts, bolts & washers, which have been cleaned and sealed before re-assembly. The cast iron base features a fully functional toggle switch. Two square section arm parts of equal length meet at the elbow joint featuring the impressed 'MEMLITE' logo.

Rewired with new aged bronze finish lamp holders two metres of black cloth covered braided cable, supplied fully PAT tested with a vintage style black plug and low energy bulb.
