Vintage 50's steel work in progress skips.
Original chippy green paint.
A small run of vintage work in progress skips/dump bins salvaged from a UK textile factory. These would have sat next to the machinists work-stations to collect the finished garments.
Manufactured in Leeds circa 1940/50's by Poplar Products, who also made a similar industrial chair/locker combination (see image below, ideal for any worker worried about their sandwiches being pilfered!). They are strongly constructed from robust steel and the original pistachio green paintwork is now characterfully chipped and worn in places but clean and ready for use. Each anglular leg is finished with a circular 'foot' to protect the floor surface.
We have now sold out of the wire work double pigeonholes shown fixed beneath the skip in the first picture, however we can provide a simple wooden top if required an additional charge of £10.
£75 each
