MID CENTURY G.E.C RAILWAY LAMPS STEPPED BRONZE BASES WITH PATINA |
||||
A neat pair of English made 1940's/50's G.E.C table lamps (General Electric Company )with serial number 101. We were informed that they had a railway connection but have been unable to verify. Weighty cast iron bases impressed with makers name & earthing point, brass or bronze double stepped plinth with central 'candle' cylinder to cover lamp holder. The cylinder is slotted to allow access to the on/off press switch which is operational but has been sheared of on both lamps. We have chosen to refurbish rather than replace these lamp holders as they are good quality and a consistant patinated finish with the base. The lamp bases can be used without the 'candle' cylinders allowing for a wider choice of bulb shapes to be fitted.Re-wired with black twisted flex, inline switch & vintage style plug . P.A.T tested prior to dispatch.
