Antique'Eagle'early American Goose Necked Desk Lamp.
A lovely example of our ever popular goose-necked lamps. The early pre-cursers to the Anglepoise, this particular model is American and called 'The Eagle' (name and reg mark cast on underside), we beleive it was manufactured by The General Electric Co.
Featuring an art deco inspired burnished iron base, a new protective piece of cork has been fitted to the underside. The stepped design features 3x pen/pencil slots and shallow trays for drawing pins, paperclips etc.
A simple flexible steel 'goose neck' allows the lamp's position to be adjusted it is topped of with a rounded polished steel shade with decorative bands and a gold painted interior.
The lamp has been re-wired with 2.5 metres of period style black braided flex, the original brass lamp holder with Eagle mark and interesting integral twist on/off switch has been restored to good working condition, the lamp will be PAT tested prior to dispatch. Comese complete with vintage style ES lightbulb as shown and black plug.
