MID CENTURY DURLSTON DESIGN VANITY MIRRORS GOLD TONE LACQUER ON STAINLESS STEEL |
||||
A matched pair of mid century pedestal vanity mirrors for 'DURLSTON DESIGNS' of Hersham , Surrey. Possibly designed by, certainly influenced by Robert Welch who produced a number of designs for the company in the late 1960's early 70's (the splayed tulip base echo's the shape of his Lumitron lamp of the same era). The circular mirror is held aloft on a slim stem which pivots at the top and can be adjusted and held at the desired angle by tightening the wing nut. These are weighty, fabricated in spun steel with a gold tone lacquer coating which has worn and patinted in places.
