ANTIQUE PLANT CLOCHES OR TERRARIUMS

HEAVY CAST IRON WITH HORTICULTURAL GLASS

An antique pair of pyramidal garden cloches, made from heavy cast iron glazed with tinted horticultural glass. There are a couple of damaged panes which we will replace on request. We have left the rusty patina as found.

Designed to protect and nuture new seedlings, these would probably have had a square section glazed base to rest on (now long gone) stacked bricks or timber bases would increase the growing height. They could also be used as terraria to create microclimates for succulents etc' indoors.
