MID CENTURY EXTENDING BATH RACK PATINATED BRASS, MAGNIFYING MIRROR |
||||
Dating from the 1950's an extending bath rack in solid, un-laquered brass featuring a central basket flanked by two soap areas. The double sided mirror, held aloft on two brass pillars pivots between plain and magnifying mirror glass both of which have areas of foxing. A pair of knurled nuts secures the mirror at the desired angle. The rack is unlacquered and features a degree of patina/verdigris which could be further polished if desired. The extending side sections simply rest on the sides of the bath, making it suitable baths of most sizes/shapes. This is a quality, weighty item with all solid brass parts some of which unscrew via brass screws for cleaning.
