EARLY 2OTH CENTURY ALFRED BROWN & CO. COAT HOOKS BURNISHED CAST IRON WITH BRASS NUMBERS MOUNTED ON BESPOKE RAILS |
||||
A decent run of sequential coat & hat hooks manufactured by Alfred Brown & Co, of Eagle Works foundry, Birmingham at the turn of the last century. Wonderful, pressed brass number plaques contrast with the burnished steel double hat/coat hooks. The manufacturer's mark and registered patent number are clearly stamped on the sides, these hooks would have been top of the range, grander than the standard hygenic wire school hooks, with detachable numbers shown (as in the advert below). We mount them on bespoke aged galvanised steel rails made for your space. Simply specify the number of hooks required and the length of a rail and we do the rest. The rails are held on a key clamp system for flexibilty of fixing/mounting, the two part hooks are designed to be 'self clamping' with a bottom section which can be tightened with a spanner.
£ 160.00 set of four mounted on a bespoke rail & brackets Hook Number "113" remaining for sale.
