1960's TABLE ATTRIBUTED TO ARKANA
POLISHED ALUMINIUM WITH ALABASTER TOP
A mid century tulip table, attributed to ARKANA of Bath, designed by Maurice Burke. We are Somerset based and acquired this locally with other ARKANA pieces, unfortunately it is missing its branded 'button' in the base (although there is a tell tale mark where it would have been). The weighty aluminium base was cast as a single piece and polished, its proportions echo those of the star base chair (with ARKANA branding).
We understand that the figured alabaster or marble top is a later addition, measuring 37" or just short of 95cm in diameter it can seat 4 comfortablely or 6 at a push. The smaller footprint of the base (60cm) makes it a good option for smaller spaces. Stone is also a practical outdoor option.
DIMENSIONS: Top diameter 37"/94cm
