PAIR OF MID CENTURY 1960's ARKANA TABLES POLISHED ALUMINIUM WITH ALABASTER TOPS |
||||
A pair of mid century tulip table bases by ARKANA of Bath, designed by Maurice Burke. We are Somerset based and acquired them locally with other ARKANA pieces, unfortunately one is missing its branded 'button' in the base (although there is a tell- tale mark where it would have been). The weighty aluminium bases were cast as a single piece and polished, the proportions echo those of the star based chairs (with ARKANA branding). Paired with a figured alabaster / marble tops with interesting subtle veins of blue/grey/brown each measures 37" or just short of 95cm in diameter they can seat 4 comfortablely or 6 at a push. The smaller footprint of the base (60cm) makes it a good option for smaller dining spaces.
£ SOLD with Arkana button, £SOLD without button
