Calling all lovers of symmetry, a hard to find matched pair of Mek Elek wall lamps with two articulated arm sections mounted on a swivelling arrow shaped base joint. These would make a wonderful pair of bedside lamps, also ideal for illuminating the kitchen work-surface allowing the lamps impressive 125cm reach to be fully utilised.

Mek Elek lamps are renowned for holding their position owing to their patented geared joints.(see diagram from original marketing material below courtesy of www.gracesguide.co.uk). All steel and alloy parts have been carefully burnished,the dark bottle green vitreous enamel shades are in good condition with just couple of dinks. All joints move smoothly and hold their position well.Will be re-wired in purchasers choice of vintage style flex either for wiring into a ring main or with trailing flex and black plug if preferred.

These lamps were manufactured in Mitcham, London from the 1930's for use in engineering workshops and Mek-Elek were key suppliers to the aeronautical industry. The image below shows a female lathe operator using a bench mounted Mek-Elek to illuminate her work.
