A MIDGARD 114 wall lamp designed by Curt Fischer in the late 1920's, one of a pair of early examples found in a rusted state with no original paint . Following rust removal, a brushed finish has been left to hight the outstanding engineering. Articulating steel arms with internal cable channels, friction joints and Fischers patented asymetrical rotating aluminium shade, designed to protect the user from glare.

Fischers links with the BAUHAUS school/movement are well documented, if you wish to find out more the current MIDGARD company holds fascinating documentation of its 100 year history and continues to pioneer in the design and production of elegant steerable lighting.
